LVFD participates in MCI exercise

November 16, 2004 - LVFD personnel participated in a simulated mass casualty at Suburban Airport, in Maryland City. The exercise, which was widely publicized with the local press, was intended to increase awareness of the dangers of reckless and intoxicated driving among teenage drivers and their parents. Past chief Hugh Owens of Glenn Dale VFD (Prince George's County station 18) orchestrated the incident.

Engine 104's crew provided patient care, as well as supporting Rescue Squad 4 (Sandy Spring VFD, Montgomery County).

Engine 104's crew consisted of Capt. Pat Dillon driving, Lt. Phil Clinard as the officer, FF Chris Paulmenete, and FF Julie Caparratto. Administrative member David Grimes was one of the mock victims, and was extricated by Rescue Squad 49.
